A guide to Henley Royal Regatta
Henley Regatta eveolved into Henley Royal Regatta, it's original name pre-dating Royal Partonage. The Henley Royal Regettais an annual rowing event held on the River Thames in Henley-on-Thames. Lasting 5 days it attracts crowds of people and is one of the must attend English summer season events.
The rowing races are head to head knockouts over a 1 mile course on a very pictureque part of the River Thames. The race pre-dates any rowing clubs or organisation and as such has it's own rules and regulations. Although it is now recognised by the Amateur Rowing Assocation.
The hospitality at the event is on the whole exceptional. The riverside marquees and luxury party boats provide a range of methods for watching the races depending on which company and package you have opted for.
The Henley Royal Regatta is an event everyone should experience although once you have you will be wanting to go back year after year!
